Shalom: West eager to ease sanctions on Iran in order to bring down price of oil

Energy and Water Minister Silvan Shalom told Israel Radio on Thursday that the West is more inclined to ease sanctions against Iran due to economic considerations and the desire to bring down the price of oil.
Shalom said that Western governments are eager to resume full trade with the Islamic Republic and to allow it to export oil.
The minister told Israel Radio that Arab countries in the region are just as fearful of Iran potentially coming into possession of an atomic bomb since it would undoubtedly set off a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
