Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef hospitalized again over back pains

Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef was taken to Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem twice on Sunday after complaining about pain in his back.
Yosef has been hospitalized several times over the past two months after falling in his home and suffering damage to his spine. He underwent surgery on his spine, but the pains continue to recur.
The Shas council called for prayers for the rabbi's health late on Sunday.
