Shot fired at Kalandiya checkpoint near J'lem

Jerusalem police on Monday evening announced that a single gunshot had been fired at a lookout post positioned at the Kalandiya checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah, lightly wounding a guard in his hand.
According to an initial assessment by security forces at the scene, the shot had been fired from the nearby village of Kalandiya, and all traffic at the checkpoint was halted after the shooting occurred.
The guard, whom a Jerusalem police spokesman stressed was in "very light" condition, was taken to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital for medical treatment on his hand.
Security forces were searching the area for the shooter.
