Soccer player arrested on suspicion of involvement in Eli Tabib shooting

A soccer player from the Liga Leumit was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of being involved in the shooting of Beitar Jerusalem FC owner Eli Tabib outside his Kfar Shmeryahu home in February.
The suspect is a 25-year old resident of Herzliya, just like suspect Yisrael Kadoshim, who was arrested on Sunday for his alleged role in the shooting. Both men are also suspects in the murder of a Tel Aviv man shot to death in Ramat Hasharon in March.
Tabib was lightly hurt in the shooting, suffering a single gunshot wound to one of his hands. He was shot after he pulled up at his house and the gunman opened fire from the back of a motorcycle before fleeing. That attack came a few months after someone affixed a fragmentation grenade to the fence of his driveway in a failed attempt to harm him. The grenade did not detonate and was taken by police sappers.
