Solar group signs NIS 3m. deal with Jewish Colonial Trust

Solarit Dolar, a subsidiary of Kibbutz Ayelet Hashahar's Doral Group in the Upper Galilee, has signed an agreement with the Jewish Colonial Trust, whereby the latter will pay approximately NIS 3 million to acquire one-third of the current and future capital of the company's solar projects, the firms announced on Monday. Among Solarit Dolar's small-sized photovoltaic systems inventory are a 600-kilowatt production facility, as well as hundreds of 50-kilowatt systems, and the group also currently has several conditional licenses to open eight megawatts worth of medium-sized installations in the future, a statement from the company said.
"We intend to continue pushing for the establishment of many solar facilities for electricity production mainly in the periphery, which we will realize together with the ecological "green" vision, while expanding our joint economic activities with kibbutzim and moshavim across the country," CEO of Solarit Dolar, Dori Davidovitz, co-owner and CEO, said in the statement.
