Soldier remains in critical condition after car ramming attack

A soldier remains in critical condition Wednesday morning after being wounded in a car ramming attack while manning a checkpoint in the Binyamin region of the West Bank the previous day.
"The condition of the soldier who was brought into Sheba Medical Center at Tel HaShomer remains critical," a statement from the hospital reads. "The soldier is currently sedated, on a respirator and recovering in the intensive care unit."
Two other soldiers were also lightly wounded in the attack but remained in the hospital overnight for observation, according to a spokesperson from Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Kerem.
The attack occurred after a Palestinian motorist drove his vehicle into the three soldiers while they were standing near a checkpoint between the settlements of Dolev and Talmon. The driver was subsequently shot and killed by other soldiers at the checkpoint.
