Some 5,500 households without electricity due to storm

Various portions of the country were experiencing electricity outages on Wednesday. At about noon, the IEC reported about 5,500 households lacking electricity, mostly in Hod Hasharon and Yehud, in the country's Center. In the morning, areas experiencing temporary outages also included the rest of the Sharon region, Netanya, Petah Tikvah, Afula, Jerusalem and certain streets in Tel Aviv, the IEC said. The average time to repair malfunctions requires about three to four hours, but teams were being deployed as quickly as possible to restore power, the IEC said.
