South Korean farmers and activists protested against a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with China on Monday (November 30), ahead of the parliament meeting to vote on its ratification. The protest came after both governing and opposition parties reached a tentative agreement to pass the free trade deal with China through parliament, which would authorise the expansion of relations with the country's biggest trading partner. A small group of activists and farmers held a news conference in front of South Korean National Assembly and chanted slogans including, 'stop the South Korea-China Free Trade Agreement'.
