The attacker on a 22-year-old Israeli yeshiva student in Brooklyn has 'a history of being an emotionally disturbed person and acting out,' the New York Police Department's John Miller said according to CNN affiliate WABC. Miller said what happened is an 'isolated incident.' The victim, identified by the Yeshiva World News website as Levi Yitzchok ben Raizel of Betar Illit, was stabbed on Monday at one of New York's most well known synagogues, in what some in the Jewish community are already calling a hate crime.
