Stabbing attack thwarted in West Bank

Police patrol units stopped a potential stabbing attack during a patrol near the Shuafat crossing in the West Bank on Wednesday according to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld.
A minor from the Shuafat refugee camp in the West Bank attempted to just over the security turnstile at the checkpoint to avoid having to go through a security check before crossing into Jerusalem according to police reports.
The security forces at the checkpoint spotted the minor during his attempt to cross and successfully stopped him. A search of the minor revealed a concealed knife which, according to the initial police interrogation, was intended to be used to carry out a stabbing attack.
