Starved UK child likened to camp survivor

A UK ambulance worker who first treated a child allegedly starved to death by her mother last year said the 7-year-old looked like a concentration camp victim. Steven Hadlington told a court in the English city of Birmingham that Khyra Ishaq was so emaciated she looked like "people who have survived the horrors of the concentration camps" Khyra's mother Angela Gordon and her partner Junaid Abuhamza are accused of starving the child to death in May 2008. Both deny murdering her. Forensic pathologist Dr. Alexander Kolar told the court Monday that Khyra weighed only 17 kilograms when she died. The trial continues.
