State: No gov't funds for yeshiva that incites violence

The state attorney on Wednesday filed its opposition to "Od Yosef Hai Shechem Yeshiva's" request to the High Court of Justice to reinstate its state subsidies, arguing the yeshiva was a source of incitement and violence against Palestinians and the rule of law.
Previously, a committee in the Ministry of Education ordered an end to subsidies to the yeshiva because of the accumulated record compiled by state security agencies regarding its unlawful activities.
In response, the yeshiva petitioned the High Court to reinstate the subsidies.
In supporting the Ministry of Education's decision, the state attorney went into some substantial detail, stating that both students and rabbis of the institution had incited to violence against Palestinians and been involved in violence against Palestinians.
