Steinitz welcomes EU decision to blacklist Hezbollah

Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz added his blessing to the European Union's decision to blacklist Hezbollah as a terror group on Monday afternoon.

"This an important decision that reflects reality, and is proof that Israel still has many friends in Europe that are aware of the ongoing struggle with terrorist groups," Steinitz said.

"The decision is a result of intensive diplomatic work which included many conversations held on the issue in recent months with a number of heads of state and foreign ministers of the EU."
