Steinitz: Police must end surge in violence in Arab towns

Israel Police must put an end to the surge in violence across Arab villages in the country, Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz said Monday.
Arab leaders "have to denounce violent incidents," he told Israel Radio, such as the attack on a man in Taibe whose car was set ablaze after being forcefully removed from it.
The top Israeli official expressed the need to provide much-needed assistance to the Arab sector, which "has been deprived for years."
As the interview shifted to international issues, Steinitz said the government in Tehran managed to get relief in sanctions for "very little concessions" in return, but warned that Israel will do everything to prevent a deal that would enable Iran to become a nuclear power.
