Stones were thrown at a bus heading to Eilat on Monday night, shattering a window.
"Only recognizing bus drivers as public servants can save their lives and the lives of passengers and cause attackers of drivers and passengers to sit behind bars," said the Israel Bus Drivers' Union. "Law enforcement agencies must act accordingly. This serious case could have resulted in many deaths and only thanks to the resourcefulness of the driver was a heavy disaster avoided. The buses are a symbol of peace and therefore they attack them and the drivers. Terrorism must be stopped against drivers and buses."
