Passengers departing from Ben Gurion Airport on Thursday experienced departure delays throughout the day as a result of an aviation workers strike. Internal domestic flights were taking place as planned, but international flights experienced heavy delays.
"Following sanctions of the Aviation Workers Committee that began in Ben Gurion Airport, for unclear reasons, departure delays began to occur," a statement from the Israel Airports Authority said.
As of Thursday evening, most flights were still listed on the airport's timetable as two to three hours delayed.
