Suleiman renews call to integrate Hezbollah into military

Lebanese President Michel Suleiman on Friday renewed his call for Hezbollah's military capabilities to be integrated into the official Lebanese system, after Hezbollah sent an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle into the northern Negev.

“Sending a drone over the territories of the Israeli enemy shows just how much [we] need to approve a national defense strategy that [would] benefit from the Resistance’s capabilities in defending Lebanon,” Now Lebanon quoted Suleiman as saying.

“Sending the drone also showed the extent of how [important it is] to form a mechanism to issue a decision to use [Hezbollah’s] capabilities in [a manner] that suits the army’s plans and defense needs as well as national interests.”
