The much-anticipated US "Super Tanker" took off from Netavim Air Force Base in the South, a few minutes before 11 a.m. The water-dropping aircraft was expected to drop its load of 80,000 liters of water and flame retardant on the fires over Ein Hod in the Carmel.Two Israeli Air Force Pilots joined the US flight crew for the flight. The plane was expected to reach the Carmel fire within 20 minutes.
