Suspects arrested for stealing NIS 1m. of gasoline

Police authorities have confirmed a number of arrests on suspicions of gasoline theft from army vehicles over a period of a few months amounting to NIS 1 million, Army Radio reported Monday.
On Monday morning, a number of residents in southern Israel were remanded on suspicions of stealing gasoline from army vehicles by using stolen "Pzumatim," a device that allows one to purchase gasoline on credit, and then plotting to then resell the booty.
The suspects were arrested following an undercover investigation, and were brought Monday to the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court for their remand.
