Suspects of Barcelona attack arrive at Madrid jail

Four suspects in the Barcelona attack last week in which 14 people were killed, were brought to jail on Monday before they were due to appear in court on Tuesday.
The four people arrested so far in connection with the attacks are three Moroccans and a citizen of Spain's North African enclave of Melilla. They were taken on Monday evening to Tres Cantos jail, some 22 kilometers north of the Spanish capital Madrid where they will appear at the high court which has jurisdiction over terrorism matters.
Earlier in the day police shot dead 22-year-old Younes Abouyaaqoub who killed 13 people with a van in Barcelona last week and then stabbed another person when he hijacked a car to escape.
Of the eleven in the militant cell, apart from Abouyaaqoub, five were shot dead by police hours after the van attack, two were killed and one injured the day before in a blast in a house where they were apparently making explosives and three were arrested elsewhere.
