Syrian bomb plotter commits suicide in German police custody

BERLIN - A Syrian migrant suspected of planning a bomb attack on a Berlin airport has committed suicide in policy custody, Spiegel Online reported on Wednesday, citing judicial sources.
The news website said Jaber Albakr had been under round-the-clock surveillance due to an acute risk of suicide and hunger strike. It was not yet clear how he had killed himself, Spiegel said.
