Syrian opposition threatens to leave talks if no progress made

A member of the Saudi-backed High Negotiations Committee (HNC) Syrian opposition group on Monday called on the United States to ask Russia to put pressure on the Syrian government, saying if no progress was made the group would leave the talks.
"Today we are betting on whether the United States, as (US Secretary of State John) Kerry said, will put pressure on the Russians to put pressure on the regime? We will wait for this," Munther Makhos said.
Makhos said the delegation may leave the talks if no progress was achieved before the end of the week. He said the HNC had come to Geneva to test the regime's intentions and not to negotiate with it.
"We are here for few days, just to be clear, only few days if there were no progress on the ground we are leaving," he said.
