BEIRUT - Syrian soldiers holed up at a hospital besieged by insurgents in northwestern Syria were freed in a military operation on Friday, state TV reported. 'The heroes of the Jisr al-Shughour hospital are out of the hospital,' a headline bar flashed on state TV said. It said the forces defending the hospital had carried out a 'tactical maneuver' and had 'successfully broken the siege.'
