Syrians shout to Arab monitors 'We want int'l protection'

BEIRUT - Crowds of protesters gathered in Syria's flashpoint city Homs shouted to Arab League monitors "We want international protection", a video showed in one of several clips that have been uploaded to YouTube by activists in the city.
Syria has banned foreign journalists and Reuters cannot independently verify the source or date of these video clips.
As monitors pushed through crowds of residents shouting at them, a veiled woman rushed up to the head of the mission and screamed "We want the detainees".
Syrian security forces have arrested thousands of people in their crackdown on nine months of revolt against President Bashar al-Assad.
