Talks to end Haifa Port workers' strike break down again

Negotiations between the Government Companies Authority and striking Haifa Port workers broke down for a second time on Wednesday afternoon after the employers reneged on a draft agreement.
According to the deal, the workers would return to their jobs, and within 30 days they would attempt to hammer out an agreement with the authority’s directorate.
The workers launched the strike Wednesday morning in protest of the directorate’s decision to approve the prospectus ahead of the planned sale of fifteen percent of the port’s stocks to the public.
