Teacher collapses, dies at Ashdod preschool

A preschool teacher died suddenly in a private day care in Ashdod in the middle of the school day, police announced on Sunday.

According to an initial report, the body of the teacher, a 35 year-old woman, was found by a passerby who heard the cries of the small children in the preschool and called the authorities.

Rescue operators arrived on the scene and had to force open the doors only to find the woman without any signs of life. Magen David Adom officers on the scene called a time of death. One of the children was also treated for light injuries sustained, according the report.

Police said upon an initial investigation there was no suspicion of criminal involvement.
