Tel-Aviv, Jerusalem express train to be operational in 2016

An express train from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem will be operational in 2016, according to Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz.

Plans to build the train were approved in 2001 and construction on the project began in 2003. The train was originally scheduled to be completed in 2008.
