Tel Aviv nightclub to shut for 30 days after sex incident

Tel Aviv Police secured a 30-day closure for a local nightclub where a woman was videotaped last week having sex with a series of men on top of the bar.
Police are investigating the incident as a possible rape, and the woman has admitted that she was very intoxicated at the time and otherwise would not have taken part in the sex acts.
On Tuesday protesters gathered outside of Allenby 40 to call on the police to shut the club down and investigate the club and patrons for rape.
One of the organizers of the protest told the Jerusalem Post that the rally was held to demand the closure of the club and also to send a message that such acts won’t be tolerated. She added that the incident is part of how women are treated in a degrading way on a wider scale in Israel.
The management of Allenby 40 on Tuesday said that they would close the club temporarily and review the incident with their staff.
