Tel Aviv Pride Parade begins at Gan Meir on Friday afternoon

Tel Aviv's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community will march through the city's street in the annual pride parade event on Friday. The parade will begin at Gan Meir at 1:30 p.m. and will finish at 3:30 p.m. in the Gordon Beach. There a street party will take place until Shabbat comes in several hours later, Also in Friday's parade, five homosexual couples, three female couples and two male couples, will marry in a special ceremony led by TV celebrity Gal Ohovsky. The newly married will be given a certificate from the New Family organization.
