Israel got off to a disappointing start to this weekend's Davis Cup semifinal tie against Spain on Friday as Harel Levy (140) was convincingly beaten by David Ferrer (19). Levy went down to the 19th-seeded Spaniard 1-6, 4-6, 3-6. Dudi Sela (29) will be looking to level the tie by beating Juan Carlos Ferrero (21) in the second match of the day. Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich will come up against Feliciano Lopez (34) and Tommy Robredo (16) in Saturday's doubles, with the reverse singles to be played on Sunday.
