Tens of thousands of Israelis at national parks, forests

Despite the cloudy weather, tens of thousands of Israelis made their way to the country's national parks and forests on Tuesday for the traditional Independence Day barbecue, a KKL press release said.

KKL cautioned from winds that could start fires, and asked the public to remain alert and report any incident to the fire department. KKL also reminded the public to only light up their barbecues in allocated areas and ensure that they have completely put out the embers with water and covered them up in dirt when they are done.

KKL was also holding guided tours for families in KKL forests during the day.
