Teva to fire 7,000 workers and shut-down 15 factories world-wide

Teva CEO Yitzhak Peterburg stated that the company will exit from several international operating locations, though he did not name any specific countries.

Peterburg also announced that Teva is about to complete the layoffs of 7,000 workers. 6,000 had already been fired, with the remaining thousand to be removed from Teva's non-Israeli workers pool.

Teva will also close 6 factories by the end of 2017 and shut down 9 more factories in 2018.

The total number of laid-off personnel is 20% of Teva workers globally. The 1,000 does not include the 350 workers in Israel who were recently let go.
