The Berlin Girls' choir visits Israel

The Berlin Girls’ Choir is arriving this month for a series of shows with the Bat-Kol Girls’ Choir from the Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv.
Founded in 1986, the choir regularly takes part in projects of wellknown Berlin concert choirs, radio choirs and orchestras. The singers (aged 13-22) will stay in guest families, and both choirs will rehearse and have two concerts together.
The journey to Israel is a continuation of the partnership between the two girls’ choirs that began with a visit of the Bat-Kol choir to Berlin last fall. The tour is being sponsored by the Goethe Institute, the Harold Bob Foundation and the Axel Springer Foundation, among others. Joint performances begin on May 14 at the Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv. The Berlin choir will perform on its own in Jerusalem at the Dormition Abbey on May 17, Kibbutz Sha’ar Hagolan on May 19, and Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael on May 21.
