'There's no disputing inequality in Jerusalem,' Rivlin tells interfaith group

President Reuven Rivlin told an interfaith communal gathering in east Jerusalem on Wednesday that he finds it impossible to “argue with the sense that there is inequality” in Israel’s capital.
The president made the remarks during his appearance at a special book launch celebrating neighborly relations between Ramat Rachel, the kibbutz on the southern tip of Jerusalem, and the nearby Palestinian village of Zur Baher.
Rivlin told Zur Baher residents at the event that he was aware that Jewish Jerusalemites had received greater attentiveness to their needs than Arab residents.
“Jerusalem is one, but I cannot dispute the sense that there is no equality in Jerusalem,” the president said.
