Thousands participate in anti-refugee rally in Rome

Thousands of people took part in a demonstration on Saturday in the Italian capital of Rome to protest against the European Union's refugee policies.
The rally was organized by the far-right Casa Pound group.
A total of 10,000 protesters set off from a refugee reception center at Piazza Vittorio in downtown Rome and ended at the Roman Colosseum. They were seen carrying Italian national flags as well as the colors of the Casa Pound movement and heard chanting slogans such as "Stop the invasion! This is my home."
A counter-protest also took place in Rome to protest against the Casa Pound movement.
