Tibi: Lieberman's remark 'incitement to murder'

UAL-Ta'al MK Ahmed Tibi asserted Wednesday that Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman saying that he was more dangerous than Hamas and [Islamic] Jihad combined constituted "incitement to murder." Speaking to Channel 2, Tibi quipped that Lieberman's main problem at the moment was neither PA President Mahmoud Abbas nor himself, but rather Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz, referring to the criminal investigation against him for crimes including money laundering. Lieberman had made the remarks on tour of the northern border village of Ghajar in response to Tibi's speech at the Fatah conference on Tuesday in which the latter said that a Palestinian state must be free of Jewish settlers, who he called a "cancerous tumor," and that Israeli Arabs were an inseparable part of the Palestinian people. Tibi defended his remarks on Channel 2 and said that Israeli leaders, including Defense Minister Ehud Barak, had in the past used "cancerous tumor" to describe settlers.
