Tim Kaine nominated as Democratic Party's Vice Presidential candidate

The Democratic Party officially nominated US Senator Tim Kaine as its Vice Presidential candidate and Hillary Clinton's running mate in a voice vote at the party convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (July 27).
Clinton and Kaine will face Republican candidate Donald Trump and his running mate Indiana Governor Mike Pence in the 2016 presidential election on November 8th.
Because Kaine was the only candidate, there was no roll-call vote and delegates gathered in the Wells Fargo Center voted by acclimation.
"All in favor of the motion to suspend the rules and nominate by acclimation Tim Kaine as Democratic party's vice presidential candidate, please say aye," said U.S. Representative Marcia Fudge from the podium, to loud applause.
