Top police official resigns amid sexual harassment allegations

The head of the Judea and Samaria Police District, Deputy Commissioner Kobi Cohen, will resign in the coming days amid a sex scandal involving he and a female police officer working in his district.
In a statement on Saturday, the National Police headquarters said that Cohen had contacted National Police Chief Inspector General Yochanan Danino and asked to resign after 33 years as a police officer.
Cohen has been the subject of a Justice Ministry investigation dealing with claims that he had an inappropriate “relationship of a sexual nature” with a female officer working under him.
He is now the 5th district commander with the rank of Deputy Commissioner to resign in the past year amid scandal.
