The Beersheba Magistrate's Court on Monday sentenced David Feldman to 7.5 years in prison and a fine of NIS 25,000 for stealing ten torah scrolls from eight synagogues in November 2010, Israel Radio reported.
Feldman and his partner in crime, who died of a stroke while in custody, were arrested while they had two of the stolen torah scrolls in their possession. Feldman's sentence concluded over a year of court proceedings.
