Tourist raped and robbed on a minibus in Rio de Janeiro

A foreign tourist was raped and robbed on a minibus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, BBC reported on Sunday overnight.

Brazilian police arrested two people, suspecting them of attacking a foreign couple and raping the woman repeatedly while her boyfriend was handcuffed and badly beaten.

The men then allegedly used the couple's credit cards for shopping and to withdraw money from cash machines, after which they allegedly dumped the two in the nearby city of Itaborai.

The identities and nationalities of the couple have not been disclosed.
