Treasury: Histadrut is using general strike 'cynically'

The Finance Ministry responded early Friday morning to a decision by the National Labor Court lifting an injunction against a general strike. The Histadrut labor federation's use of strikes, a ministry spokesperson said, is cynical and doesn't take into account the harm caused to citizens and the economy.

The spokesperson added that the state is working to improve conditions of contract workers, the Histadrut's central grievance, and that there was therefore no reason to call a strike.
