A car drove into a hitchhiking post near the
Giti Avisar junction in the Ephraim area in the West Bank, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit.
The driver tried to escape and was shot by an IDF soldier stationed at the junction. The driver was evacuated for medical treatment and later died of his wounds.
There were no other injuries reported.
The identity of the driver and the background of the event are being investigated.
