Tsanani begins 6 months public service at Tzrifin hospital

Margalit Tsanani, the popular singer and TV personality arrived Tuesday morning at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tzrifin to begin her six-month, five-day-a-week assignment of public service.
The 63-year-old entertainer admitted to charges of blackmail and extortion against her manager in exchange for a plea bargain, and was let free for six months of public service.
Although she said she would like to work with children suffering from cancer, she was assigned to the hospital’s archive and manpower department. Originally, the Tel Aviv District Court judge who heard the case involving "Margol" decided she should work at a religious girls’ school, but the institution turned her down.
