Turkey summons Russian envoy over bombing of Turkmens in Syria

ANKARA - Turkey has summoned Russia's ambassador in protest at the "intensive" bombing of Turkmen villages in northern Syria by Russian warplanes, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters on Friday.
The Turkish foreign ministry said in a separate statement that the attacks targeting civilian Turkmen villages "could lead to serious consequences", and called for an immediate end to the operation.
