Turkish army hits targets in Syria after cross-border fire hits Turkey

ANKARA - The Turkish army on Tuesday shelled Islamic State targets in northern Syria in response to cross-border rocket fire that hit a Turkish town, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said.
Two shells from Syria landed in the town of Kilis for the second day in a row and wounded eight people. The area across the border from Kilis is controlled by Islamic State.
