Turkish military says jets strike PKK targets after deadly militant attack

ISTANBUL - Turkey's armed forces said on Monday its F-16 and F-14 jets had struck 13 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) targets, a day after the militants detonated explosives on a road in southeast Turkey in an attack that killed and wounded Turkish soldiers.
In a statement on its website, the military did not specify a death toll but the PKK said it had killed 15 Turkish soldiers in the bomb attack in the Daglica area of Hakkari province. One security source told Reuters that 16 soldiers were killed.
