Turkish PM calls on Islamic leaders to support Palestinian cause

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu urged leaders of Islamic world on Thursday to gear up support Palestinian cause in his address to a luncheon of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit in Istanbul.
"We must stand shoulder to shoulder to achieve freedom for Palestine and to establish a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital. We should also adopt a joint stance regarding Azerbaijan's territory that is under occupation as well as Crimea that is under Russian occupation to support freedom of these lands." Davutoglu said in his speech.
Davutoglu held bilateral talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistani Prime Minister Mamnoon Hussain on the sidelines of the summit.
Leaders of the Islamic world are liaising on the regional issues with the latest developments in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh among others at a summit hosted by President Tayyip Erdogan.
