Tim Hetherington and Chris Hondros, two world-renowned war photographers, were killed on Wednesday while on assignment in Libya.Hetherington, a long-time contributing photographer for Vanity Fair, co-directed the Oscar-nominated documentary Restrepo. Pulitzer-prize nominated Hondros had photographs on page one of The New York Times and on the cover of Newsweek.Both men were in Misrata covering the conflict between rebels and pro-Muammar Gaddafi forces. Photographer André Liohn confirmed their deaths Wednesday on his Facebook account.
