A 34-year-old resident of Tel Aviv and a 38-year-old resident of Hod HaSharon were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of growing and producing drugs under laboratory conditions, Maariv reported.
This news came after the police uncovered a hydro laboratory containing about 450 seedlings of what they identified as a dangerous marijuana drug.
In addition, a drug ready for distribution weighing two kilograms was seized as well as a lot of equipment used for growing and producing drugs.
The police intend to request an extension of the suspects' detention at the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court.
