Two suspects, a father and son, were arrested by Rishon Lezion police on Tuesday morning, for their alleged role in a deadly hit-and-run accident on Tuesday that took the life of 83-year-old local man Meir Solomon. The identities of the two men remain banned from publication, but police believe the 17-year-old son was the driver and the father helped him cover his tracks after the accident. Police managed to find the two men after they received a tip from a neighbor who told them that the two were involved in the accident. Solomon was the caretaker of a synagogue in the neighborhood, and was hit and killed while walking to the house of worship for morning prayers. Solomon was one of three people killed Monday in traffic accidents, including a 55-year-old motorcyclist in Tel Aviv and a 66-year-old bicyclist hit by a tractor-trailer at the Goral junction outside Be’ersheba.
